Can Hair Gel Cause Hair Loss? An Answer To That Question

By Rob Maraby

Hair loss is genetic for the most part, but other contributing factors can promote it. Hair gel is one of them. If used on the scalp it can clog up follicles.

Hair treatments used for coloring, straightening or a permanent wave can damage hair and cause it to break if used too much or in the wrong way. These treatments, along with styles such as pigtails or cornrows, can scar the scalp, damage the hair follicle and cause hair to fall out.

The most reason for losing hair is genetics. Too much testosterone and hormonal imbalances can also cause hair to fall. Taking too many medications and other illnesses can cause hair to fall as well

Hair gel and hair loss? Is it is possible? Yes hair gel will cause hair loss if misused and if misapplied. This means it makes a difference how and if you use them.

A hair gel can put stress on hair which will cause it to break and fall off. The toxins and thickness of the gel can also clog hair pores and cause hair loss

When you wash your hair with shampoo to get rid of the gel, it tugs and pulls at the hair follicles making it more likely to break and fall off

If you use more shampoo than usual to wash your hair. This process will poison and weaken the hair follicle. The result is hair loss

Hair gets may mix with sebum and clog up hair follicles

If you insist on using hair gel, use a natural one that has herbs and botanicals that will not clog your hair follicles. A good one is Mira herbal gel; it has aloe Vera and hibiscus and will help you grow hair. It will not clog your hair pores as it is water based and 100% natural

If you do continue using a hair gel be sure to use a very little and don't apply it to the scalp

If you want to prevent hair loss from hair gel use my suggestions above and you will have longer thicker hair in no time at all.
